Spectators at the 2008 Vectren Dayton Air Show got quite a show on Sunday when a commercial airliner had to make an emergency landing at Dayton International Airport.
The landing temporarily halted air show activities but they quickly resumed after the plane landed safely.
The Northwest Airlines plane was en route to Detroit from Tampa on Sunday when a computer in one of its engines failed, said a Northwest Airlines spokeswoman in an e-mailed statement. The crew decided to shut down the engine and land in Dayton as a precaution, according to the statement.
